What we do

We remove the console board, desolder the damaged port with hot air and fit a new port, checking the board pads and repairing any lifted traces under a microscope. Your PS5 is then tested on a display at full resolution. Choose the deep clean and thermal service option on the page and we dust out the console and renew the thermal paste while it is apart.

Questions about this fix

Is it always the port?−

Usually, when the pins are damaged or the cable is loose. If the port is sound the fault can be the HDMI encoder chip, which we also repair. Diagnosis is free so you know before any work starts.

Should I add the deep clean?+

If the console has never been cleaned or it runs loud, yes. It is already apart, so the extra work is small.

Do I need an appointment to drop off?+

No. The Kings Cross workshop at Unit 2, 56 Tavistock Pl, London WC1H 9RG is open 24 hours, every day. Booking online just means the parts are ready when you arrive, and you pay after the fix.

How does posting it in work?+

Book and pay online. We email you a free prepaid DPD label within 24 hours; pack the device with your booking number inside and drop it at any DPD point. We fix it, test it and post it back free, tracked.

What if it cannot be fixed?+

No Fix No Fee. If we cannot fix the fault you booked, you do not pay for the repair. Posted-in devices are returned to you.
