What we do

We take the console apart to the board, clean the fan, heatsink and vents, and remove the old thermal paste from the processor. New paste and thermal pads are applied and the console is reassembled and run under load while we watch the temperatures. Your PS4 goes back quieter and cooler.

How often does this need doing?−

It depends on the room. A dusty or carpeted room, pets and smoke all shorten the interval. If the fan is loud again, it is due.

Will it fix random shutdowns?+

If the shutdowns are heat related, yes. If the console still shuts down after the service, there is a separate fault and we tell you what we found.

Do I need an appointment to drop off?+
