What we do

Under a microscope we clean the damaged area, rebuild the lifted pads and traces with fine wire and solder mask, and fit a new connector. The fan is plugged in and the console is tested under load to confirm it spins at the right speed. Your PS5 Pro is then fully function tested.

Questions about this fix

Can the pad be repaired if it is completely gone?−

Usually, yes. We trace the connection back to the next point on the board and run a fine wire to the new connector.

Is this a common home repair mistake?+

Yes. The connector is small and the cable is short, so pulling the fan out without releasing the latch tears the pads off. If it has happened to you, do not try to solder it yourself, just send it in as it is.

Do I need an appointment to drop off?+

No. The Kings Cross workshop at Unit 2, 56 Tavistock Pl, London WC1H 9RG is open 24 hours, every day. Booking online just means the parts are ready when you arrive, and you pay after the fix.
