We clone your existing drive to the new SSD so Windows, your settings and your games come across as they are, then fit the new drive with its heatsink and expand the partition to use the full capacity. Choose 1 TB or 2 TB on the page. Your ROG Ally X boots and runs from the new drive before it goes back.

No. The clone carries everything across, including your login and installed games, so it boots as before with more space.

What happens to the old drive?+

We return it with the device. Keep it as a backup or wipe it once you are happy.
