What we do

We remove the drive, inspect the loading rollers, motors, laser and the drive board, and replace the failed part. On consoles where the drive board is paired to the motherboard we keep the original board and repair the mechanism around it. Your Xbox Series X is tested with several discs before it goes back.

Questions about this fix

Can you just swap in a whole new drive?−

Not on every console. Some pair the drive board to the motherboard so a swapped drive is not recognised. We repair the original drive so that link is kept.

My disc is stuck inside. What should I do?+

Leave it. Forcing it out damages the loading mechanism. We remove it safely when the drive is out.

Do I need an appointment to drop off?+
