When and how we refund — repairs, custom PCs and refurbished laptops.
This policy sets out when and how we refund. It sits alongside your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and does not reduce them, and it forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
Every repair starts with a free diagnosis and an exact quote. If you decline the quote there is nothing to pay and we return your device free. If we accept a job and cannot complete the agreed repair, you owe nothing for the labour or the diagnosis.
Every paid repair carries a warranty on the part we replaced and the labour to refit it (the period is stated on your invoice). If a warranty issue appears, contact us — we cover the return shipping both ways.
Machines built to your specification are made to order, so the statutory 14-day cancellation right for distance sales does not apply to bespoke configurations. However, we voluntarily offer the same 14-day return: tell us within 14 days of delivery, send the machine back complete and in as-new condition, and we refund in full. Every build also carries a 1-year build warranty on parts and labour, with free DPD collection if anything fails.
You may return a refurbished laptop within 14 days of delivery for a full refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided it comes back in the condition it was sent. All refurbished laptops carry a 6-month return-to-base warranty.
If anything we sold or repaired is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, contact us straight away. Within 30 days of delivery you are entitled to a full refund; after 30 days we repair or replace under warranty. We cover the carriage on faulty items.
Email info@fixitnerds.co.uk or call 0800 955 0071 with your order or booking reference. We will confirm the return address (56 Tavistock Place, London WC1H 9RG) or arrange collection. On change-of-mind returns you cover the return postage; on faulty items we do.
Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days of the item reaching us.
